key duties and responsibilities:
1.
supervising research activities: be responsible for managing the day-to-day
operations of the laboratory including overseeing the work of survey
researchers, interviewers, and data analysts to ensure the smooth execution of
research projects;
2. recruiting
and training: recruit and train new interviewers or survey researchers on
survey methodologies, interview techniques, and data collection protocols,
provide ongoing guidance and support to the team, and offer feedbacks;
3. quality
control: establish and enforce quality control procedures to maintain the
accuracy and integrity of survey data including monitoring survey interviews,
reviewing completed questionnaires, and conducting regular audits to identify
and address any data collection errors or inconsistencies;
4. managing
resources: be responsible for managing the resources within the laboratory,
including survey materials, equipment, and software. ensure that all necessary
supplies are available, maintain equipment functionality, and coordinate with
it support for any technical issues;
5. data
management: oversee the organization and storage of survey data collected in
the laboratory, ensure data security and confidentiality, and maintain proper
documentation of data collection procedures;
6. reporting
and analysis: may be involved in data analysis and reporting, working closely
with data analysts to interpret survey findings and generate reports;
7.
compliance and ethics: ensure that all research activities adhere to legal and
ethical guidelines;
8. troubleshooting
and problem-solving: be responsible for resolving any issues or challenges that
arise during the survey process, such as addressing technical difficulties, or
finding solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection;
9.
collaborate with other departments or teams to ensure smooth coordination and
successful project execution.
qualifications and requirements:
1. a master
degree in disciplines of social sciences;
2. a minimum
of 3 years post-qualification working experience, preferably in the tertiary
education sector;
3. be
proficient in statistical software and tools, microsoft office software, and
social media;
4.
self-driven and strong capability of working independently;
5. good
command of both written and spoken english and chinese;
6. strong
communication skills.
salary and benefits
salary will
be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. appointments
will be made under the establishment of cuhk-sz and statutory benefits will be
provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the prc. the
appointee will be based at the university campus in shenzhen, prc.
